PSM or Socialist Party of Malaysia was given the green light by the government of creating their new political party after a decade-long battle.
Sounds great isn’t it? Not really as there are 3 eyesores here:
- The well know Roman strategy of "divide and rule":
the ruling party BN has lost so many followers
the opposition is almost united
so…
create an extra party so some will only be focused on that in stead on keeping the focus on a strong opposition coalition.Let’s just hope that PSM is smart enough to see that they are just pawns played by the government in their own political game to gain majority not by helping the people but by helping themselves.
- In what kind of state it’s the government that decides who can make a political party and who cannot? That’s like organising a football tournament and saying that Brazil cannot join because well…
Anyway, this is not something typically Malaysian: remember how much struggle was involved to get the UK from a 2 party system in a 3 party system. US is even worse: you can only vote "left or right": either you are with us or against us…What kind of democracy is that? It’s a democracy where the ones in power make the rules in order to stay in power…
- People want solutions to the daily problems, not create new parties… Or: the divert from the real problems strategy
Welcome PSM! meanwhile oil prices didn’t change a bit and prices go up…
