For those not speaking the Malaysian language: "Boss" and "Det" are 2 ways of calling a male stranger’s attention. Let’s say the polite way of saying: hey you!
Che Det is the nickname of Malaysia’s former prime minister Tun Mahathir Mohammed and chedet.com is his new blog.
So the new kid on the blog is 81 and still rumbling 
he was called Che Det when he was a kid and well, let’s see what new nicknames his blog will produce…
It’s quite funny to see the evolution… During his reign, press was controlled, his successor Abdullah Badawi has a fierce stand against blogs and now… Mahathir start blogging himself…
Well, if we all can voice ourselves without having fear for repercussions, than we have an ideal democracy and a much better platform to "listen to the voice of the people", be it that the people without Internet won’t have a voice…
On the other hand it is quite easy if you finally speak out your mind in a blog, the ruling party knows:
- who to target and
- how to brush up matters that matter to the people
As with everything, there are pro’s and con’s… well, I hope some cartoonist can add some spice on Chedet’s blog
