Najib no need to be a witness
July 23rd, 2008 by MM2H
It comes as no surprise that Karpal Singh’s application was rejected by the Shah Alam High Court. According to the high court it is not necessary to have the deputy premier as a witness in the Altantuya murder trial. What’s of course more important is the reason given.
The funny twist is the reason given at the 15.00h news on my radio:
Only those involved in the case can ask for a testimony.
You get the joke right? Statistically the people involved in a case are:
- the victims
- the villains
And in a murder case, the victim is dead. Luckily they didn’t say that only the victims can call others in court…
Anyway, seems the radio found out that something should have been explained a bit better, so at 16.00h on my radio:
…
That’s right: no reason given anymore. Accurate for sure, but it would be nice to get some more in depth information.
