Many of us would have been aware of the worldwide spread of swine flu through the printed media and television.

Most of us have taken the necessary preventive steps to try to avoid getting infected by regularly washing hands and staying away from crowded places. Some of us have cancelled our travel plans that would have entailed spending time in crowded airports and airplanes, hence reducing the speed of the swine flu outbreak.

Tamiflu is an effective way of treating the swine flu and governments all over the world has been stockpiling this drug for their eventual use.

If you would like to ensure that you have a supply of Tamiflu, ask your local or national government for information as the demand for the drug has increased tremendously as the swine flu continues to spread worldwide.

As a user of twitter for the past few weeks, I have got hooked on it and now I use it regularly to keep in touch with friends and family.

While twittering, I also discovered that many international hotel chains have got on the bandwagon and embraced Twitter enthusiastically.

For me that is just great as I find it very useful when researching for hotel rooms. On the hotel’s twitter pages, you can get information about their company, location, website, guest’s reviews and also activities available around the hotels.

Some of the hotel providers that use Twitter are laterooms.com, Expedia and Last Minute.

The best way to protect yourself against the Mexican swine flu is avoiding traveling by airplane.

For what I hear from my Mexican sister in law is that "this is a poor men’s problem": meaning that everybody can get the flu, but the poor who can’t get medical attention are the one’s dying.

We all know that the only way to cure a virus is being in good health. Further on we will "test" the "poor men’s theory" and see what happens with the swine flu patients in New Zealand, Spain and US.

Meanwhile it would be wise to stay away from airports and airplanes.

Human body heath detectors like in the airport of Thailand are useless when the person just contracted the virus and boarded the plane: he or she won’t show fever but will be spreading the swine flu.
