Siti Nurhaliza Datuk K: wedding ceremony

August 29th, 2006 by MM2H

Siti Nurhaliza + Datuk K

siti nurhaliza weddingMalaysian and Indonesian most popular pop singer Siti Nurhaliza and Director of a Malaysian Property business Datuk K held their wedding reception yesterday evening in the center of Kuala Lumpur: the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Siti Nurhaliza + Datuk K =? Mahathir + Pak Lah

In a country so divided by the political battle between the former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir and the current PM Pak Lah, it was a relief to see Malaysian’s number 2 Deputy PM Najib sitting next to the ex PM Mahathir.

Yet the distance between the royal chairs could have symbolized the distance between the ideas of these 2 top Malaysian politicians. The main dispute now is the construction of a bridge linking Malaysia to Singapore. This construction was approved by Mahathir, yet put back in the drawer by Pak Lah. We all know that construction of road and Malaysian infrastructure boosts transportation and the Malaysian economy, yet we also know that construction asks for a lot of money. There is no clear answer whether the benefits of construction a bridge between Malaysia and Singapore will be higher than the money involved to built it.

Siti Nurhaliza + Datuk K = smiles

Priceless was the smile on Siti Nurhaliza’s face once her mother greeted her with the sprinkling of scented water.

Priceless was also the gift to charity: The whole wedding ceremony between Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K was transmitted life by Malaysian Channel TV3. It is said that the rights of TV3 channel : an amount of money going up to RM1 million, would go to charity.

Siti Nurhaliza + Datuk K : piece of cake

Of course more than 1 outfit was shown, and during the cutting of the wedding cake Siti was wearing a quite stunning off-white and pink Christian Lacroix lace Swarovski-studded gown designed by Michael Ong.

Yet the highlight of the evening came Siti Nurhaliza surprised her guests with a performance of a song titled Cahaya Cinta, dedicated to her husband Datuk K. At last the wedding of the year was topped by a song of the singer of the year :-)

The future for Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K?

"Come to the reception in Kuala Lipis on Sept 3", was the message from Siti Nurhaliza to her fans across Malaysia.

Siti Nurhaliza Datuk K: talking business in Malaysia

August 21st, 2006 by MM2H

If 2 dogs fight for a bone, a third dog will run away with it…
(old European saying…)

Siti Nurhaliza Datuk KTengku Zawyah Tengku Izham runs away with the bone!

Tengku who? Tengku Zawyah Tengku Izham: the ex wife of Datuk K. Or should I say the ex-ex-wife of Datuk K. Yes, you read it well, Tengku Zawyah Tengku Izham has been divorced by Datuk K twice. Smart as she is: just before the marriage of Siti Nurhaliza - S Datuk K, she went to Malaysian Syariah High Court and settled for ownership on two units of two-and-a-half-storey semi-detached houses in Kota Damansara, worth about RM1.8 million (The outstanding loan on the houses must be settled by Datuk K…)

Datuk K runs away with Siti Nurhaliza

What happens if there are 2 bones and 3 dogs… seems 1 dog will loose… Datuk K divorced his first wife the second time (try to keep track…) because "there were transgressions against the agreement of the marriage, though I (Datuk K) must admit I have to take some of the blame too"… 2 divorces and he admits to take blame… what is Siti Nurhaliza future prospect knowing people don’t change that easily… only time will tell.

For Datuk K : Siti Nurhaliza could well earn at least RM 1 million a year, already for about 8 years of success… so that balances out the lost property: the RM1.8 million that will be paid off with the future gains of the couple Siti Nurhaliza Datuk K

Why is Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K such big news in the Malaysian newspaper?

Because it is a safe issue. Not so long ago Malaysian Prime Minister Badawi said that the Malaysian online blogs should only be allowed when they say "the truth", without elaborating who will be the judge of the truth in Malaysia.

Malaysian newspapers have a controlled press freedom… meaning: you can write what you want, just that each year the government will yes or no renew your licence for the next year. So if you say the wrong thing, the next year you can forget your business…

But what can you say wrong about the so called fairytale of Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K? Not too much and it keeps people buying your newspaper… So thank you Siti Nurhaliza - Datuk K for all the commotion in a cup of Malaysian kopi :)

Siti Nurhaliza Datuk K

August 8th, 2006 by MM2H

Hot news in the Malaysian newspapers these days… :

Siti Nurhaliza to marry Datuk K on Aug 21

Siti Nurhaliza is the most well-known singer in Malaysia; she started her career when I arrived in Malaysia and worked her way up to the top. At 27 she has the world at her feet, and also…

Datuk K. Datuk K is… well, he was announced to be Siti’s lover at the time he was still married to his previous wife with whom he has 3 kids. Datuk K is 47, old enough to be Siti Nurhaliza’s father. After digging into his achievements, it is believed that Datuk K sits on the board of directors of several public-listed companies.

LOVING COUPLE: Datuk Khalid Jiwa and Siti
Nurhaliza
announced their big day much to
everyone’s surprise. The wedding date is set on
Aug 21 while the bersanding is on Aug 28 at the
Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Siti Nurhaliza - Datuk K: role model?

Siti Nurhaliza is undoubtedly a role model in Malaysia: a Muslim singer that doesn’t shake her booty like some Indonesian singers to get to the top in the pop business of Malaysia. Siti Nurhaliza: always polite, always striving for a better life in a better world: an example of Malaysia: a moderate Muslim state that only comes in the newspaper with good news.

Yet: being in love with a man not even divorced from his wife… what kind of role-model is this? Very little this does good to the image of marriage where everybody openly can see a Datuk (which is a noble title here in Malaysia) like Datuk K, going for a young girl like Siti Nurhaliza and giving up his previous marriage for it.

Now I must admit, Siti Nurhaliza never made any comments the day I married here in Malaysia, so I can only wish Siti Nurhaliza and Datuk K the best.

Datuk K : how much of a businessman?

Datuk K is currently director of PASDEC Holdings Bhd, a public-listed company owned, that in the last year made 2 Q out of 4 Q of loss, and the stock price is way below 0.5 Rm, a so called penny stock…

However, it was his involvement in the entertainment scene that purportedly led him to Siti Nurhaliza… Datuk K for sure has his own public relations right…

Datuk K : how much of a father?

Datuk K has 3 sons, and it is kind of funny that their new stepmother Siti Nurhaliza could be mistaken for their sister:

Can you judge a book on it’s cover? These are the pictures taken from a day in the life of Datuk K’s son:

Siti Nurhaliza is quite a different role model compared
to Datuk K’s son…

Datuk K being humble about the ‘price of love’ for Siti Nurhaliza

WHAT is the price of love? Businessman Datuk Khalid Mohd Jiwa is being humble about it and is offering his wife-to-be, pop princess Siti Nurhaliza, a mas kahwin (bridal gift) of RM22,222.22 and a volume of the Quran…

22,222 Rm, you cannot even buy a small apartment for that price… not even a small car… Very humble offerings to the parents of Siti Nurhaliza who is number 1 on the Malaysian scene…
