Mas Idayu mp3

mas idayu mp3

Download our free Mas Idayu mp3 in case opposition party PAS (Parti Islam SeMalaysia) won’t allow her nor Malaysian rockstar Ella to perform on an upcoming football match between Selangor and Singapore…

Yes, in a country struck by high oil prices and an election that has shaken the country, PAS doesn’t loose focus and keeps on the lookout for indecent behavior.

Of course this opens the discussion: why deprive all Malaysians from watching Mas Idayu and Ella, the latter being Malaysian as well?

Anyway, next time most likely Singapore will host the football match and nobody will be bothered who is singing what and how as long as it is done in good fun.

Meanwhile you can download and listen to this Mas Idayu MP3.

Michelle Yeoh Memoirs of a Geisha

June 9th, 2008 by MM2H

michelle yeoh memoirs of a geisha

Sassy, sexy but not bitchy: Michelle Yeoh Memoirs of a Geisha star got cozy on Talk Asia yesterday. Another hardworking Malaysian girl that keeps modest although being a huge star both in Asia as in the west.

Ok, I admit, I am a fan of her, but that’s only because well, she is intelligent :-) I mean: she was not "another Bikini Bond girl" in Tomorrow Never Dies, but she managed to portray the modern day smart Asian woman in a western movie.

photos of james bond tomorrow never dies

Which is good because most westerners just think about Asian women as being Obedient and Exotic…

james band tomorrow never dies

Although Michelle Yeoh really knows how to kick ass, most likely the "stunt"
on the left will be done by a double out of fear that the James Bond girl could become a James Bandage girl… If you want to see the real Michelle Yeoh in Action, watch her Hong Kong movies!

Anyway, if you never heard about Michelle Yeoh before, then go and watch her performing in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. 1000 times better than that little brat jumping in Oprah’s sofa Tom Cruise who also thinks he knows how to play in a martial arts movie… Just to let you know I already fell asleep in watching that Tom Cruise’s trailer… really too slow for comfort…

Did I say 1000 times better than Tom Cruise? Oops, let me rephrase that: a billion times better than Tom Cruise!

Michelle Yeoh Biography

Got interested in Michelle Yeoh? Then also watch her other movies, especially her 1990 action films where she performs her own stunts:

  • The Owl and Dumbo (1984)
  • Yes, Madam (1985)
  • Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars (1985)
  • In the Line of Duty a.k.a. Royal Warriors (1986)
  • Magnificent Warriors (1987)
  • Easy Money (1987)
  • Police Story III: Supercop (1992) : partly shot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • The Heroic Trio (1993)
  • Butterfly and Sword (1993)
  • Executioners (1993)
  • Holy Weapon (1993)
  • Once a Cop aka. Project S aka. Supercop 2 (1993)
  • Wing Chun (1994)
  • The Tai-Chi Master (1994)
  • Shaolin Popey 2 - Messy Temple (1994)
  • Wonder Seven (1994)
  • The Stunt Woman (a.k.a Ah Kam) (1996)
  • The Soong Sisters (1997)
  • Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
  • Moonlight Express (1999)
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)
  • The Touch (2002)
  • Silver Hawk (2004)
  • Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
  • Fearless (2006) (directors cut only)
  • Sunshine (2007)
  • Far North (2007)
  • The Children of Huang Shi (2008)
  • Babylon A.D. (2008)
  • The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)

Quite interesting that Michelle Yeoh is a martial arts woman but started as a dancer. Just like Jackie Chan does martial arts movies, but started in a Chinese Opera school.

Michelle Yeoh Choo-Kheng was born in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia on August 6, 1962 but now based in Hong Kong. I was already wondering why Talk Asia would go all the way to Hong Kong to interview her… because she is based there of course :-)

Michelle Yeoh is best known for her roles in:

  • the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and
  • Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (which is still my all time favorite!).

Talking of Miss Malaysia World 2007 Winner only a few posts ago, Michelle Yeoh won the Miss Malaysia beauty pageant in 1983 and of course was Malaysia’s representative at the 1983 Miss World pageant in London.

Like we said before: Asian women do much more than walking around being pretty… : in March 2008 Michelle Yeoh visited Vietnam to film the documentary for the Asian Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF). Talking about hardworking!

Michelle Yeoh height

Michelle Yeoh’s height is 5′ 4" or 1.63m.

Why am I mentioning this? For the Zhang Ziyi fans…

5 foot 4 inches is the exact height of Michelle Yeoh. For those wondering about the height of her co-star in Memoirs of a Geisha Zhang Ziyi: have a look for yourself and tells us what’s the truth about ZZ’s height mentioned on different sources to be between 5ft 2 and 5ft 7…

Miss Malaysia World 2007 Winner

June 6th, 2008 by MM2H

miss malaysia world 2007 winner

Remember Miss Malaysia World 2007 winner Deborah Priya Henry?

miss astro 2007 in MalaysiaI do.

Not only because she is wearing a red swimsuit, and red is exactly the color I love in my Malaysian blog…

… it seems all Malaysian Misses sooner or later will wear red, like Miss Astro 2007 in Malaysia : Joanna Yew at the right…

That’s not why I remember Deborah Priya Henry at all actually :-)

Why do I remember the Miss Malaysia World 2007 winner?

Mainly because Deborah Priya is an Indian-Irish beauty AND she is miss MALAYSIA.

Now if all Malaysians would think like and keep the interest of all the Malaysian citizens in hearth, they could end up as the most beautiful country ever existed on this planet.

No, I am not talking about the controversy that came out in 1997 when Amy Lui Miss Malaysia Petite was crowned amid detention of the Islamic Malay girls contesting.
I am talking about working all together to do everything possible to become Malaysians. But that is quite difficult when you rule by majority :-(

Anyway, meanwhile Miss Malaysia Earth 2008 was launched yesterday. The pageant’s finalists will be in Malacca for 10 days until the finals, to be held at Everly Resort Hotel on July 13.

The winner will represent Malaysia at the world finals in Manila in October 2008.

For those keeping track of how Malaysian girls compete in the worldwide scale of beauties…

At Miss World 2007 held in Sanya, Hainan Island (where Badawi has part of his roots…), China, Miss Malaysia World 2007 Winner Deborah made it to the semi-finals!
