What is Monica Lewinsky famous for?

July 1st, 2008 by MM2H

what is monica lewinsky famous for

I am sure you all remember what is Monica Lewinsky famous for sitting on her knees under Clinton’s desk. Although President Clinton claims:

I didn’t have sex with that woman.

This weekend a similar affair in Malaysia: now famous Anwar Ibrahim aid ‘Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’ takes head stage. Saiful claims Anwar sodomized him and Anwar claims:

No acts of sodomy took place

mattressWe already learned from Anwar’s previous sodomy trial that it’s not his word against Saiful’s word, but most likely the words of a mattress will make or break the case.

20/20 on Monica Lewinsky

Since he fell out of the grace of Tun Mahathir, it seems that there is no place for Anwar in Malaysia’s 20/20 vision.

Unlike Monica Lewinsky who "came clean" in the 20/20 ABC show (just get a feel of the level of intelligence: the 20/20 ABC show…),
Anwar is back in the same mud-wrestling game he was about 10 years ago. Who said democracy was all about numbers?

Malaysian public toilets are not that clean

One thing we expats all agree upon is the standard of cleanness of the Malaysian public toilets. We can all try to squat but we don’t feel like squatting in public dirt.

It seems that Malaysian public politics is going the same direction as it’s public toilets…

A new democratic process started when the voice of the people in the March elections decided to be heard. The public is fed up with a majority government that doesn’t do enough for the man and woman in the street. Remember, Malaysia is an oil exporter, which is easy money, and a lot of it now that oil prices are soaring…

You would think that measures would be undertaken to improve the situation of the general public, yet what we are seeing now is the opposite:

  • a 40% hike in fuel prices with no further plan to boost the economy or tamper inflation
  • trying to cover the biggest opposition Anwar in as much toilet-stuff as possible…

Where is Monica Lewinsky today

where is monica lewinsky today

What year was the Clinton scandal of Monica Lewinsky? According to Monica, she had an intimate relationship with President Bill Clinton between November 1995 and March 1997. Monica testified that her relationship involved oral sex in the Oval Office and other sexual contact but that sexual intercourse did not occur.

If you are a bit surprised why Anwar has a 23 year old aid, read further…

  • Monica Lewinsky, 21, got an unpaid White House internship in 1995. A standard way to get started in Washington if you:

    • are a member of the President’s party and
    • can afford to work without pay.

  • Apparently, on taped phone calls secretly taped by her friend Linda Tripp, Lewinsky says she had oral sex with Clinton, and that he called her several times late at night for phone sex.
  • Lewinsky also reportedly said on one tape that Clinton does not consider oral sex to be adultery: simply because you can deny sleeping with a women when having oral sex.

In case you forgot: this is all done using tax payer’s money… The taxes you pay in order to get to live in "a better country"…

Where is Clinton today?

Well, it pays off being number one of your country when a scandal like that occurs. Just imagine: you are paid big taxpayers money to rule the public and what are you doing in your office? You open your pants and an intern puts her mouth where it isn’t that public… pubic yes, public no.

Where is Anwar today?

Anwar’s only problem is that he is not number 1 in his country. And even being number 2 didn’t do him any good during Mahathir. Now he isn’t even number 2 but…

With all the controversy people still prefer Anwar above the actual leaders of Malaysia…

For politics that’s just normal…

But would you allow things like this to happen in your business? Can you really be like a Mrs Clinton and simply accept what is Monica Lewinsky famous for?

Isn’t it much easier to have transparency and have a smart vote for a smart country?

Dunno - Euhm, Euhm, Euhm : Malaysian vocabulary for politicians

June 23rd, 2008 by MM2H

We all do remember the famous answer of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in 2006 about the merger between ECM Libra and Avenue Capital:

“I dunno, I am not involved”

If the Minister of Finance dunno, who does?

Anyway, that day was the last day I conducted financial training courses to Malaysians. I mean: you cannot stress your financial students how important it is to be on top of the news, when your man on top ‘dunno’.

So how much is Euhm, Euhm, Euhm better than dunno?

Selangor Menteri Besar and Bandar Tun Razak MP Khalid Ibrahim was asked his opinion about the SAPP no-confidence call to Badawi:

euhm, euhm, it euhm,
is,
euhm, euhm,
a euhm euhm good euhm euhm euhm news
euhm euhm to
….. euhm….
me…

I could continue like this for a long time, but summarized: there was no real plan between the euhms, except something about "our 100 days celebration"…

So who do you prefer: dunno or euhm, euhm, euhm festivities?

Or was Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim mind occupied with the Selangor PAS youth
wing’s note about inappropriate Ella and Mas Idayu?

ella modelella lovebaby ella

Ella herself is much more eloquent in responding:

“I am a public figure and a Muslim.
I know exactly what to wear and what not to wear,”

How clear and accurate is that! Compare that answer of "just a singer" with answers of "Malaysian’s top politicians":

euhm, euhm, euhm, I dunno…
It’s really a sad state of affairs…

Malaysia goes nuclear?

June 23rd, 2008 by MM2H

To find a solution for the high oil prices, leaders of the world are quite, well, not really looking for solutions:

  • Saudi Arabia will produce a little bit more oil :but when you are running on full capacity, that’s not going to change much
  • US is opting to drill more, more, more offshore :now that is not going to solve the problem tomorrow is it? I mean it’s not like going to the groceries and get yourself a salad quick and easy.

Malaysia quotes DPM Najib:

"The prospect of Malaysia opting for nuclear technology cannot be discounted, only that we will look at other alternatives first"

Now you would expect Najib to be the first not to opt for explosive measures like nuclear energy…

…For those not familiar with Malaysia being in the tropics…

It’s hot here in Malaysia!

we have the sun right above our head
for about 12 hours a day.

Now that’s a lot of solar energy!
