Seems I was wrong predicting Anwar wouldn’t be released on bail. Bail was set at RM20,000 (about $6000) and Anwar still has his passport.

Anwar’s case will be transferred to the High Court and is set for mention on September 10 to decide hearing dates.

So my next predictions are:

• there will be a new law in the near future obliging anybody to produce his or her DNA when ordered so by the police or court.
   
• there is going to be a fierce by-election using all tricks possible, like voting on a working day (August 26)
   
• there is going to happen something unexpected
