Oil prices for dummies

June 14th, 2008 by MM2H

Why is Badawi still smiling?

Find out for yourself! You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to pass the test…

Meanwhile I filled up my tank of my car with gasoline: from a 3 digit number I now pay a 4 digit number…

The good thing about all this is that motorbike sellers are doing golden businesses: there sales is increasing kind of as much as the oil price is.

All this in a country that is a net exporter of oil… So let’s do the numbers:

Oil producers

oil prices for dummies

  1. I produce lots of oil
  2. The international oil prices go up
  3. I make lots of money: I win

Non oil producers

oil prices for dummies

  1. I don’t produce any oil
  2. The international oil prices hike the gasoline prices
  3. I loose lots of money: I loose

Badawi

oil prices for dummies

  1. I produce lots of oil
  2. The international oil prices go up AND
    I hike the gasoline prices
  3. I make twice lots of money: I have a win win situation…

Which 72 Malaysians can easily save 20 billion?

June 12th, 2008 by MM2H

Remember how Badawi made 2 billion in 2 seconds by cutting minister’s and their deputies’ entertainment allowances by 10 %?

That means that entertainment allowances ONLY cost Malaysia 20 billion.

And how many minister and deputies are we talking about?

72

Or less as I counted some ministers twice at the latest list of ministers and deputies after the 12th general election.

72 are spending 20 billion
on entertainment allowances alone.

20 million Malaysians are suffering
after the recent fuel hike
which only earns the government RM13.7 billion

No!
The catastrophical fuel hike
doesn’t even cover

the governments entertainment allowances…

What about the entertainment of all 20 million Malaysians?

Suppose you earn 700RM a month, that’s 8400RM a year. Let’s be generous and increase your salary with a whopping 20% so you get to earn 10.000RM a year.

Back to our 20 billion RM: divide that over 10.000RM yearly salaries… That’s 2 million people’s salary!

So do you still believe the Government puts the interest of the people first when with a little savings of their ministries they could give a decent salary to 10% of its entire population?

Same as in Europe: citizens work their butt off and ministries enjoy spending it…

How Badawi made 2 billion in 2 seconds

June 10th, 2008 by MM2H

You must admit that Malaysian PM Abdullah Badawi is the fastest man in the universe to make fast billions.

  • Yesterday he made RM 2 billion
by cutting ministers and their deputies’ entertainment allowances by 10 %.
    Nobody will really be hurt…

  • Few days ago Abdullah Badawi made RM13.7 billion
with a whopping fuel hike between 40% and 60%.
    Everybody will be really hurt…

On top of that the inflation rate will get out of hand.

Good ways to change your lifestyle

When politicians in Europe talk about changing lifestyles, they set an example by only driving to the office by bicycle or public transport…

Now Abdullah can lead by example when saying Malaysians need to change their lifestyle!

In order to make RM13.7 billion that now comes from the fuel hike
Badawi just needs to cut ministers and their deputies’ entertainment allowances by 70 %

By cutting the whole entertainment allowances, Badawi can make an extra 6RM billion! and decrease the oil prices back to where they were 1 week ago.

Badawi can start telling ministers and their deputies to use their own money for maintaining a lifestyle…

Is cutting the whole entertainment allowances a good plan Badawi? I think it is:

  • you get a whopping RM6 billion and
  • inflation won’t suffer a bit nor the rest of the population…
