How to reach Kuala Lumpur from the airport
When after arriving in Malaysia you want to spend the night in one of the many hotels in Kuala Lumpur, you have 4 options to get there:
- take a taxi arranged by your hotel booked in advance
- take an official airport taxi from the airport's taxi counter
- take the fast public train from the airport to KL-Sentral and then the LRT straight to where your Kuala Lumpur hotel is situated
- get overwhelmed by the hassling taxi drivers at the arrival hall of the airport and go with them (not recommended)

When you don't have your own transport, I recommend you stay in the hearth of Kuala Lumpur in the Mandarin Oriental.
You can reach this hotel by taking the LRT and get of in KLCC station. There you walk inside the shopping complex of KLCC towards the park, cross the park and you are in Mandarin Oriental.

For budget travelers, we recommend you take the LRT to Masjid Jamek, change to the monorail (towards Chow Kit) and try your luck in one of the many cheap Kuala Lumpur hotels in Chow Kit.
